How to set up IPTV on a Samsung or LG Smart TV
Samsung (Tizen) and LG (webOS) sets do not allow apps from outside their own stores, so you use a player from the official store and load the playlist from the developer website using the television identifier.

Step by step
-
1
Open the app store on the television
On Samsung that is Smart Hub (Home, then Apps); on LG, the LG Content Store. Search for "IBO Player Pro" or "Smart IPTV" and install it.
-
2
Note the identifier the app shows
The first time it opens, the screen shows a MAC address (in the form 00:1A:79:xx:xx:xx) and sometimes a device key. Write them down exactly: they are the unique identifier for that television.
-
3
Open the developer site on your phone
The app itself names the address, for example iboplayer.com or siptv.app/mylist. Open it on your phone or computer, not on the television.
-
4
Add your playlist
Enter the television MAC address and paste the M3U URL we sent you. Give the playlist a name, for example "BestIPTV", and save.
-
5
Pay the app licence if it asks
Some apps give seven days free and then ask for a one-off payment to the developer. That is their licence, not part of your subscription.
-
6
Restart the app on the television
Close the app completely and reopen it. The whole line-up downloads the first time and can take a minute or two; let it finish rather than restarting.
-
7
Check the programme guide
Open a channel and press the info or guide button. If the schedule is empty, force an EPG refresh in the app settings and check the television time zone is your own.
