How to set up IPTV on Android TV, a phone or a tablet
Android is the easiest platform: the apps are on Google Play, they accept an Xtream Codes login, and the whole setup takes about five minutes.

Step by step
-
1
Install the player from Google Play
Search for "TiviMate" if you will be using a remote, or "IPTV Smarters Pro" on a phone or tablet, and install it. Both are in the official store.
-
2
Add a playlist
Open the app and choose "Add playlist". When it asks for the type, choose Xtream Codes rather than M3U file.
-
3
Enter the server URL
Paste the URL exactly as we sent it, including the port if it has one (for example http://server.com:8080). A missing port is the most common mistake.
-
4
Enter the username and password
Type them exactly as shown, including capitals. If you copy and paste, check no space has crept in at the end.
-
5
Let the line-up load
The first load pulls the channels, the categories and the EPG. That is a minute or two; do not close the app partway through.
-
6
Sort your channels
In TiviMate you can build your own groups and hide the country categories you will never watch. That is what turns a 45,000-channel line-up into something usable with a remote.
