How to set up IPTV on a MAG receiver

MAG boxes do not use a username and password. They use a portal: we register the box MAC address on the server and the receiver loads the line-up by itself at boot.

Step by step

    Find the receiver MAC address

    It is on the sticker underneath, and also in Settings → System → Device information. It looks like 00:1A:79:xx:xx:xx.

    Send us that MAC on WhatsApp

    We register it on the server and send back the portal URL. Without this step the receiver cannot load anything: the MAC address is what identifies it.

    Open the system settings menu

    Press Setup on the remote and go to System settings → Servers → Portals.

    Enter the portal name and URL

    Put BestIPTV in "Portal 1 name" and paste the address we gave you into "Portal 1 URL", complete and with no spaces.

    Save and restart the portal

    Press OK to save, leave with Exit and choose "Restart portal". The receiver restarts and loads the line-up.

    If you see "Portal not found", check the network

    Confirm in Settings → Network that the receiver has an IP address and a DNS server. On many MAG boxes you have to set a DNS manually, 8.8.8.8 for instance, before the portal will resolve.

Worth knowing

The portal is tied to the receiver MAC address. If you change box you have to tell us so we can register the new MAC, because the old one stops working.
